The Jonquil has all-yellow flowers, but lacks the long tubular "corona" of the more often seen Common Daffodil (N. pseudonarcissus). Learn more at Vascular Plants of North Carolina.
Naturalized daffodils are often undercollected and misidentified by field botanists. When making specimens of Narcissus, the collector should note number of flowers per scape (in the population), fragrance, tepal/corona color, and whether leaves are glaucous, green, flat, grooved, or round. If a search such as "Carex leptalea var. leptalea" doesn't deliver the results you want, try "Carex leptalea".
Or, to minimize chances of a misspelling, try just "Carex le".
Less is more: If "pencil flower" doesn't deliver the results you want, try "pencil".
